BasketMedia — Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how BasketMedia, a service operated by Chandmani Technology LLC (“BasketMedia”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses, stores, shares and deletes personal data when you use the BasketMedia mobile application (iOS and Android) and the website at https://basketmedia.mn (together, the “Service”). BasketMedia is a basketball news, live score, video and statistics service operated from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service. Our terms are available at https://basketmedia.mn/terms.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Chandmani Technology LLC, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time:

2. Data we collect
2.1 Facebook Login data.
You may create a BasketMedia account using Facebook Login. When you do, and only after you grant permission on
Facebook's own consent screen, we receive the following from Facebook using the
public_profile and email permissions:

We do not request or receive your Facebook friend list, posts, photos, messages or any other Facebook data, and we never post to Facebook on your behalf.
2.2 Account data you give us. Depending on the features you use, we may also store your phone number, your favourite teams and sports preferences, and any comments or messages you submit.
2.3 Device and log data. When you use the Service our servers automatically record technical information: IP address, device model and operating system version, app version, pages or screens requested, referring page, and the date and time of the request. If you enable notifications, we store a push notification token for your device.
2.4 Cookies and similar technologies. The website uses cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We also use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and usage trends; Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes data under Google's Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service may stop working.
3. How we use your data
- To create and operate your account and to sign you in.
- To show personalised content such as your favourite teams, saved articles and comments.
- To send service messages and, if you have enabled them, push notifications about games and news.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To keep the Service secure, detect abuse and fraud, and debug errors.
- To comply with our legal obligations under the laws of Mongolia.
We process this data on the basis of your consent (which you may withdraw at any time by deleting your account), the performance of our agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in operating a secure service.
4. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We disclose data only to the following categories of recipients:
- Hosting provider. Our servers run on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (Stockholm) region.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — only as needed to operate Facebook Login and to confirm data deletion requests.
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage statistics, as described in section 2.4.
- Authorities — where we are required to do so by Mongolian law, a court order or a lawful request.
Content that you choose to publish, such as your comments and the display name shown next to them, is visible to other users of the Service.
5. International transfers
Because our hosting infrastructure is located in the European Union, your data is transferred to and stored on servers outside Mongolia. We rely on the contractual and security safeguards provided by our hosting provider to protect that data.
6. How long we keep your data
- Account data — for as long as your account exists. It is deleted when you delete your account, except where we are required by law to retain a specific record for longer.
- Server and error logs — up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised.
7. How to delete your data
You can delete your BasketMedia account and personal data in any of these ways:
- By contacting us — fastest. Email ch.byambabayar@gmail.com or message https://m.me/Basketmedia24 from the account you want deleted, and ask us to delete it. We confirm your identity and complete the deletion within 15 days.
- From Facebook. Go to Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, select BasketMedia and choose Remove. Facebook then sends us a deletion request at https://basketmedia.mn/facebook_user_deletion, we delete your account, and we return a confirmation code you can use to check the status of your request.
You may also ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, using the same contact details.
8. Security
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Passwords, where used, are stored only as salted hashes; we never store your Facebook password. Access to production data is limited to the administrators who need it to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users as required by law if a breach occurs.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
